About our Training and Workshops

  • Our post graduate training courses and hands on workshops, utilise the most advanced photobiomodulating ( PBM) laser equipment available today, which is  clinically endorsed by the Australian Institute of Laser Therapy after successfully treating more than four (4) thousand patients for  a wide range of neuro-musculoskeletal and dermatological conditions, post- operative & wound healing, nerve & tissue trauma, neurodegenerative and  pain relief during the period of since 2004 to 2009.

  • Correctly applied treatments using our clinically endorsed PBM laser equipment with the appropriate treatment protocols, wavelengths, dosages and frequencies for different conditions and anatomical sites, has proven to achieve highly effective pain relief in both acute and chronic conditions. Long term use of pain medication can cause side effects, but laser PBM offers a safe Pain Free method of immediately reducing pain and inflammation during the very first treatment session, while the laser light energy supports cells to function and heal injured or chronically inflamed tissues faster.   

Is it essential that medical and health Practitioners undertake post graduate training in Laser photobiomodulation (PBM) ?

Photobiomodulation is new clinical modality and therefore is not a subject that is included in past and current health science or medical degree curriculums. 
For successful treatment outcomes it is highly recommended that practitioners gain relevant theoretical knowledge and adequate practical know- how in the correct clinical application of PBM.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR ALL COURSES: Medical or Health Science Qualification

At the Australian Institute of Laser Technology, we offer beginner and advanced courses, as well as hands on practical workshops to qualified medical and allied health practitioners and therapists wishing to integrate non-thermal Low Level Laser (LLLT) for photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy into their clinical practice.

    To inform and evaluate knowledge gained from this course as a pre-requisite to establishing, a medical or cosmetic laser/IPL clinic and to provide employed staff that will perform laser or IPL treatments with the essential underpinning science of laser and non- laser phototherapy, and the critical factors that govern successful treatment application and safe use of such devices. Includes Open Book Written Examination approved by Australian Radiation Health departments for obtaining a license to use a laser in some states of Australia and covers the essential underpinning science and safe use of laser and IPL phototherapy devices.

    This workshop provides an introduction to the non-invasive clinical application of laser light and its role in supporting healing processes, modulating pain and inflammation and accelerating tissue repair. A wide variety of laser PBM devices are utilised during this workshop to enable practitioners and therapists to gain essential hands on knowledge relating to successful treatment. Our theoretical training and hands –on practical workshop will provide you with the important underpinning science, knowledge and know how to effectively implement Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) using the most technically advanced laser therapy equipment for PBM with the most efficient powers, wavelengths and extensive range of medically proven bio-frequencies to support homeostasis, healing and pain relief and know the right laser treatment protocols for different conditions.
