Tina Czech is a highly qualified consulting specialist in phototherapy for tissue repair, with over 18 years of clinical experience. As a government registered training provider in Australia for the past 10 years, she has authored and conducted two (2) Graduate Certificate Courses, which have been accredited at a government level. These courses related to the use of laser and IPL for dermatological treatment and wound healing, as well as neuro-musculoskletal conditions and pain control using laser photo-biomodulation and formed a much needed platform of knowledge for the integration of laser technology into Australia, during the past decade.
Tina conducts a Laser Safety Certificate course on a monthly basis, to inform laser and IPL users of the underpinning science of laser and IPL devices and their interactions within living tissue. This course is a requirement by most professional indemnity insurance providers, as well as Australian Radiation Health Authorities for issuing a license to use laser devices.
As a leading expert, she now conducts regular specialised 1day intensive workshops, to enable GPs and qualified nurses, skin management professionals and health science practitioners, to better understand the varied applications of laser technology in all aspects of healthcare and skin photorejuvenation.
During her extensive career, she has studied in the United Kingdom, USA and Germany and is heavily involved in scientific research at a supervisory and educational level and is a regular speaker at both national and international Conferences.
Ms Czech is a member of the Standards Australia Medical Laser Committee, an Honorary Board Member of the World Academy of Laser Applications (WALA), a Member of Royal District Nursing Service LILT Research Committee and been awarded Life Membership to the International Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery( ISLMS).
COURSE AIM
The IPL & Laser safety certificate Course aims to provide accredited training in the safe use of laser and intense pulsed light apparatus in the clinical environment and for sales demonstration.
This course complements existing competences already gained by clinical practitioners, manufacturers, repairers
and demonstrators involved in Laser and non laser Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology.
WHO SHOULD DO THIS COURSE?
This Intensive course is highly recommended for medical, allied health and cosmetic professionals, who are considering to expand their clinical services with laser or IPL technology or anyone working within a laser or IPL facility.
Persons using Laser and IPL equipment or employed to demonstrate, install and repair these devices may require a licence to do so and this course meets those requirements.
On successful completion of this course a Laser Safety Certificate will be issued and the title of Laser Safety Supervisor is given, which is recognised by relevant Australian radiation health authorities, and professional indemnity insurance providers.
