Lipo + Plus is primarily a non -invasive PBM laser system that instigates lypolysis and can assist with maintaining a healthy body mass index (BMI) by targeting excess body fat with laser light at specific joule dosages, to activate the release of stored body fat effectively and safely metabolise the released fat via a natural light induced process termed Lypolysis (Neira R, Solarte E, Isaza C, et al 2001). Therapy sessions for Lypolysis with Lipo + Plus are 10 minutes per body area.

Experimental studies relating to Lymphoedema laser therapy has revealed histological evidence that enhancement of phagocytic activity stimulated proteolysis of accumulated proteins, which in turn instigated the release of osmotically retained lymph fluid and the subsequent increase in lysis of fibrotic tissue during PBM laser therapy phagocytosis is also enhanced, thereby supporting the reduction of fibrosis and lipoedema as well (Casley-Smith and Casley-Smith1986)
